    TRAUMA:

    This patient fell fracturing her upper right incisor. The tooth was restored without the need for any local anaesthetic with a direct composite restoration (White filling). Carefull attentionj to detail allows the tooth to be restored to it's natural form and restores the patient's smile.

    This 35 year old man with decaying upper front teeth. After intensive oral hygiene advice, professional cleaning with our hygienist his upper teeth were rebuilt using all-ceramic crowns. The final image shows beautiful natural looking crowns that dramatically improve this patients appearance .     This patient was unhappy with the appearance of his upper front teeth. They were stained , and were slanted. There were many missing teeth posteriorly.The upper 6 front teeth were crowned, to improve the shape and colour and 9 dental implants were placed and restored with bridgework to restore posterior teeth allowing the patient to chew more normally.

    Failing Crowns and Bridge.

    These crowns are only 3 years old! The patient is unhappy with the appearance.     Full Dentures with Dental Implants.

    Zest locators are used in conjunction with 4 dental implants in the upper arch and 2 dental implants in the lower arch to help positively retain the new dentures. Fixative is no longer required.

    Trauma case

    Following a late night assault in a takeaway shop, this patient required the front teeth repairing. The central incisors were recreated in a tooth coloured composite material in a free hand technique using different shades to achieve a very natural appearance by Matthew. The teeth remain healthy and the patient can eat normally and smile with confidence.

     



  • Case Study - Number 8

    Veneer

    This patient was unhappy that the existing porcelain veneer on the upper left lateral incisor- it was described as "dull" and "darker than the natural teeth". Matthew advised to replace the veneer with a lighter shade to match the existing teeth and to add some composite to the upper left canine tooth to improve the appearance- make it less pointed; the incisal edges of the upper teeth were improved also with the addition of composite. The work was completed over 2 visits, with the help of Steve Taylor, dental technician, to achieve a natural smile. The patient was delighted.



  • Case Study - Number 9

    Bleaching Case

    After a fall this patient suffered pain from her front tooth upper left 1- emergency treatment was completed by the previous dentist. Unfortunately the tooth badly discoloured as a result of internal bleeding within the crown of the tooth. Root canal treatment was completed, and then internal bleaching to reduce the dark red discolouration. Tray based external bleaching followed and then the composite restorations present in the central incisors were replaced to match the new lighter and brighter shade- almost impossible to see the dark red discolouration now?



  • Case Study - Number 10

    Patient presented with pain from loose teeth and very unhappy with the appearance. Initial stabilisation was provided with immediate removable partial upper and lower dentures after extracting the loose teeth. Implants will be considered after the sockets have healed.

  • Case Study - Number 11

    A patient attended the surgery after an assault. The upper left central and lateral incisor teeth had been punched out of the sockets and were loose and painful.The teeth were repositioned by Matthew under a local anaesthetic, and splinted. Root canal treatments were completed on the upper left central and lateral incisors, and the gum will heal more fully in time. Treatment to date 4 weeks. Further images will be added to show complete healing.

    This patient was very unhappy with the appearance of the immediate remobable partial acrylic denture. The remaing upper teeth were extracted and an immediate fixed solution provided using the bredent Fast and Fixed solution. The final screw retained fixed bridge was completed 6 months after the initial surgery.
